It is with great pleasure that we welcome back Mike Schommer fresh from his remix of Bribie Dub with the 4 track EP, City Sleeps. Mike is one of the biggest influences and mates to the Primary Colours label ever since the lads have been spinning his DeepChord records from 2000 to the present day.
City Sleeps incorporates beautiful vocals, live instrumentation, structures and even melody. Listening to these four cuts you will hear contributions from a mysterious vocalist from L.A., experimental flute from Berlin and even an old punk rock cohort of Mikes from Detroit on guitar in the track Three Tears. The result? Deep, Sexy Dub Techno! Tunes you will catch yourself humming along to, melodies that will stick in your mind. This is only the start of what will be a very exciting series ahead.
A 4 track EP pressed on a very limited purple 180 gram vinyl and limited sleeve featuring images taken from Mike Schommer himself. Black vinyl will follow once this limited offer sells out. Unlike the title, we recommend not sleeping on this one.
